Positive pressure in the insufflated cavity allows body fluids to collect inside sleeve of trocar port and soil the camera lens upon reinsertion. Many surgeons use Gauze or open expensive Kitner sponges to try and clean the inside of the trocar.  These methods are not effective and inserting loose gauze down the trocar can also be dangerous.
