Surgeons

Surgeons continue to advance minimally invasive surgery, expanding their capabilities in a broader mix of cases. Laparoscopic visualization is absolutely essential for this expanded case mix. Our proprietary system helps enable you to perform your critical work with a properly white-balanced, defogged and clean endoscope lens. These innovations save you time, enhance laparoscopic visualization, protect valuable equipment and can lead to improved patient care.

The Problem

The Solution

TISSUE/FLUIDS ON LENS
Dried-on body fluids and tissue collect on the laparoscopic lens during surgery compromising visualization and requiring laparoscope lens cleaning.
The Advanced Laparoscopic Care Kit with D-H.E.L.P.® warmed anti-fogging solution of  surfactant and water breaks down fats and washes fluids and tissues from lens in just 5 seconds.
LENS FOGGING
Laparoscope lens becomes fogged when moved between cool operating room and warm body cavity upon initial insertion and reinsertions.
The Advanced Laparoscopic Care Kit with D-H.E.L.P.  anti-fogging solution warms the scope lens above body temperature to prevent fogging. D-H.E.L.P.  will remain warm for up to 5 hours.
TISSUE / FLUIDS IN TROCAR
Positive pressure in the insufflated cavity allows body fluids to collect inside sleeve of trocar port and soil
the camera lens upon reinsertion.
Use the Advanced Laparoscopic Care Kit with D-H.E.L.P.  system TrocarWipe® to clean fluid and/or tissue inside sleeve of trocar. This prevents clean camera lens from being compromised, saving time and adding efficiency to the case.
SCRATCHED LENSES
Traditional cleaning methods using surgical gauze can scratch valuable lenses adding to repair cost.
With more than 200,000 strands per sq. in., soft MicroPad will not scratch lenses which can reduce maintenance and repair costs
ROBOTIC CLEANING
When the Robotic Scope lens is dirty, the scope is often removed from the abdomen, removed from the robotic arm and walked back to a basin to be cleaned and then reattached to robotic arm, and reinserted into the abdomen taking several minutes.
Advanced Laparoscopic Care Kit with D-H.E.L.P. with it’s unique design can be brought up to the camera so it doesn’t need to removed from the robotic arm.  The camera lens is then inserted into the D-H.E.L.P. with the surfactant and water solutions cleans the lens in just five seconds!!!   It should be also noted there is NO alcohol in the anti fogging solution. (Note: Our system cannot white balance the Intuitive da Vinci scope.)
TIME MANAGEMENT
Traditional laparoscope lens cleaning with water bath and surgical gauze is time consuming.
Advanced Laparoscopic Care Kit with D-H.E.L.P. eliminates water bath and gauze providing effective lens cleaning in just 5 seconds.  The antifogging liquid is made up of a surfanctant and water to remove fluids/tissue from the lens.
WHITE BALANCING
Other Systems do not White balance the scope.  Therefore when the scope is White Balanced before insertion the lens can cool and potentially create fogging when inserted into the body.
Advanced Laparoscopic Care Kit with D-H.E.L.P. allows for white balancing while lens is warmed in D-H.E.L.P. to avoid lens cooling/fogging. Upon insertion the camera gives consistent, true white balance for realistic color and optimum visualization.
STOCKING
Other endoscope cleaning methods require multiple products and SKU’s.
The entire Advanced Laparoscopic Care Kit with D-H.E.L.P. system is only one SKU.
